Located in the mid-coast of Maine, the town is in the middle of the Boothbay peninsula in Lincoln County. The town borders Edgecomb, Boothbay Harbor, the Damariscotta River, the Sheepscott River, and the Atlantic Ocean. Well known as a fishing village with a strong tourism economy, it also houses Washburn & Doughty and Hodgdon Yachts ship builders, as well as the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and Bigelow Laboratories.  Welcome to Boothbay!
