Men’s Ministry

Man-Day is every Monday evening starting at 5:30 pm. We enjoy dinner and fellowship. This is a great group for everyman. We eat, pray, learn, and encourage one another how to love God more and serve our families better.

One Saturday a month we meet for a breakfast fellowship to encourage those men not able to make it out to Man-Day on Monday nights and then we serve in and out of the church by caring for any needs of the church building facilities or those of our congregation that are in need and unable to care for their needs themselves.

Women’s Ministry

A Ladies’ Bible Study group meets on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 from September to May with Cathy Wilson & Misty Glines leading.  A member of our church, Cathy is a devoted member of BBC. She loves the people and serves faithfully each week in a myriad of ways to make everyone who enters the doors of BBC feel welcomed and loved. The Bible study is held in the Christy Room, located next to the church office, on the lower level of the Parsonage / Church offices Building across the parking lot from the church.  Topics vary.  For more information call the church office, (207)-633-7378.

Youth Ministry

In addition to Sunday School classes and Junior Church, Boothbay Baptist offers the Olympians youth group (Grades 1-6) which meets Thursday evenings at 6:00-7:30 p.m. during the school year.  Olympians follows the Word of Life curriculum and features Bible lessons, games, music, snacks, and special events.  It promotes Scripture memorization, service to others and making a habit of having a quiet time with the Lord.  The kickoff for Olympians is the FASCAR event in September when kids can race their Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars on a computerized track for prizes.  Call the church or watch the local paper for the dates of FASCAR and Olympians.

In mid-summer Boothbay Baptist offers a week-long Vacation Bible School for children aged 4 through sixth grade, with a special theme that encompasses Bible stories, songs, crafts, games, and snacks, and ends with a program Friday evening for parents and friends followed by an ice cream social.  Call the church or watch for announcements of dates and times.

Glocal Missions

Boothbay Baptist Church is committed to spreading the good news of Jesus everywhere! What does Glocal mean? Glocal is the understanding that missions MUST start with our homes first and then spread to every corner of the globe. God will never call missionaries who are doing nothing at home. We MUST be missionaries first in our own homes and communities then as the HOLY SPIRIT leads He will take us to the corner of the globe that He knows needs our ministry. BBC supports over a dozen career missionaries, both overseas and in the U.S., as well as several Christian organizations.  Many of our church members have personally taken part in short-term mission trips and many support missionaries individually.  Through our missionaries, we hear of God’s work in places from Maine to Africa, Russia, the Middle East, and as far away as Indonesia.
