A special Mother’s Day message from Deacon Justin Fowley, following a service featuring the Boothbay Baptist Word of Life Olympians.
The Maine* Idea: God is glorified when we faithfully share the Gospel of His grace.
The Maine* Idea: We are called to believe God, taking Him at His Word, trusting in His presence and provision as we bear witness to His grace.
The Maine* Idea: The resurrection changes everything! It proves that He is who He claimed to be and that He accomplished what He came to do! (Our apologies that the sermon recording failed this week due to a technical problem. We are providing a full text PDF of the study that was the basis of the sermon.
The Maine* Idea: Jesus died for our sins according to the Scriptures and was buried… fulfilling the Divine Plan, and confirming His identity.
The Maine* Idea: The death of Christ opened the way into the presence of God for all who believe.
The Maine Idea: The Cross was the place of divine judgement against sin, and the death of the Son, as our substitute, is the only way to forgiveness and reconciliation with God. P.S. The sermon ends at 29:21, our apologies that the recording has several minutes afterward still.
The Maine* Idea: Every detail of the crucifixion fulfilled prophecy, proving the Jesus is the promised Messiah. His willingness to endure it all proved His love for us.
The Maine* Idea: The depth of human depravity was revealed in the brutal mockery of the King, another aspect of the torture which Jesus willingly endured, to save those who believe.
The Maine* Idea: Jesus did not defend himself before men, but did affirm His kingship, and, as the Passover-King, He continued on the path to carry out His plan to lay down His life for us.
